A 50 acre farmlet, superb elevation and views, water access to Newlands Arm, in beautiful East Gippsland – all we needed to do was add a home.
The brief was a large 6 bedroom home to accommodate the extended family in comfort and style.
As elevation was not a problem with plenty of room to spread out, a low profile home was the key. This helped reduce bulk on the prominent headland site. A low pitched roofline with overhanging prow type gables and the raised centre line gives the home subtle shape and protection.
Rendered muted tones with a touch of classic timber helped with the total balance, the views were to the east so using highlight windows brought the light in from the north.
