After many happy years of enjoying their holiday home, the owners decided to extend this seven square house on stilts to make it a home to retire in. The existing two bedroom, one living area shack has been increased to include three bedrooms plus a study, a sewing room, and three living zones. Retaining the magnificent views of Westernport Bay to the East was paramount, while still giving the impression the building is nestled into the surroundings. Although the final effect is that of a contemporary design, the home has not lost it’s ‘beach-house’ feel, with large expanses of glass, and generous eave overhangs.
